Kids & Co's community-focused holiday camp provides children with opportunities to apply classroom knowledge to solve real-world problems. In our Renewable Energy Program, children will learn the importance of renewable energy and the growing role it plays in our sustainable future. 

Children will gain a deeper understanding of various sources of renewable energy including wind and solar power, the physics of harnessing their power and the practical challenges and opportunities that we see in Singapore.  Children will take part in a suite of exciting activities such as designing their own three-dimensional wind turbine, building their own self-powered solar car, a sustainability field trip, plus an exclusive sharing session by nature biodiversity experts from the National Parks Board! Finally, our children will champion the cause of renewable energy through the remixing of their own tune and song. 

Your child will be able to:

• Deepen their understanding of renewable energy and its role in protecting the environment 

• Expand their knowledge on physics, energy and the environment

• Develop important science skills such as observing, documenting, experimenting and critical thinking

• Improve presentation, teamwork and public speaking skills through their project activity

• Develop community awareness on topics such as climate change and energy conservation
